Biography: In addition to courses in composition (ENG 201) and creative writing (ENG 205), Alan Marks teaches a range of genre-related Topics in Literature courses on subjects like Science Fiction and Philosophy, Vampires, Monsters, Apocalypse, and Stephen King. He also specializes in online teaching and is closing in on 100 online course sections taught over the last 15 years or so.
Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Alan has been focusing more on his own creative writing with several stories being published over the past couple of years. And starting in Jan of ’23, he has begun work on an MFA in Creative Writing through the Stonecoast MFA program at the University of Southern Maine.
