Bio
Hello! My name is Michelle (she/her), and I am an English Graduate Teaching Assistant with a concentration in creative writing. I grew up in New Hampshire, but I moved to Unity, Maine in 2016, where I earned my B.A. in Environmental Writing and Media Studies and Wildlife Biology. These days my interests are centered on teaching English at the college level and writing flash fiction. For my creative thesis, I am developing a collection of flash stories exploring themes of the body, the spirit of play, and the experience of imposter. When I’m not writing, reading, or teaching, you can find me in my little apartment in the woods cooking a new recipe, lounging with my cat, or laughing with my husband (often, all three!).
