Hi! My name is Maddie Rose! I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada and moved to Maine for graduate school. I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a BA  in English Literature and a minor in Cinema and Media Studies. Currently studying Gender and Literature at UMaine, my research interests are Modernism and Post-Modernism, African American Literature, and Feminist Studies. In my most recent work, I analyze the fragmentation (a characteristic of Post-Modernist work) of Toni Morrison’s Beloved and the effect fragmentation has on the timeline of the novel.
