Kaytlin Black
Hi there, I’m Kaytlin! Before coming to teach at UMaine, I received my BSEd in Secondary English Education (7-12) with a certificate in Equity Education—and a BA in English from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. While here at UMaine, I am able to work toward my MA in English with a concentration in Writing Studies (meaning Rhetoric/Composition/Technical Communication), while also teaching a section of College Composition 101. These opportunities have been made possible for me through obtaining a Graduate Teaching Assistantship. Additionally, I am the Vice-President/Treasurer for the English Graduate Student Association (EGSA) and a member of the Graduate Teaching Academy which is run through CITL. When I’m not in class or teaching, you can find me spending time lounging or exploring with my almost 2-year old pomsky, Scout.
