Bio

Madison Brown is an enrolled member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and hails from Tulsa, OK. She received her B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Baker University in 2018, where she minored in creative writing and health humanities. She is currently a graduate assistant in the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment. In fulfillment of her MA English degree, Madison is writing a creative thesis inspired by family history. Her research interests include Indigenous and Native North American Literature, more specifically magical realism, postmodernism, and digital humanities/modalities. Madison most enjoys interdisciplinary studies where her STEM education informs her writing and research. When she’s not in class, you can find her out in nature, birding and hiking with her husband and their dog.
