Hollie Adams received her Ph.D. in English from the University of Calgary, where she specialized in creative writing, contemporary fiction, and narratology. She is the author of the novel Things You’ve Inherited from Your Mother (NeWest, 2015) and the chapbook of prose poetry Deliver Me from Swedish Furniture (Zed, 2017), which was short-listed for the bpNichol Chapbook Award. Her short fiction and poetry have been published in magazines and anthologies across Canada, including The Malahat Review, Room, ContemoraryVerse2, Grain, Prairie Fire, The Antigonish Review, Carousel, Filling Station, and The Calgary Renaissance. Her research and teaching areas include creative writing, contemporary North American fiction, Canadian literature, and the short story. Her critical scholarship has been published in Composition Studies and the European Journal of American Studies.
